DebugMode Wax is one of the few really functional free video editors you can find for use in Windows OS. If you want to edit or assemble videos in a linear way (cutting and pasting fragments freely), this is the program that you must use.
It was developed by the fantastic programmer who is Satish Kumar, and works both as standalone application AND as plug-in for the most common video edition software, such as Sony Vegas, Pure Motion EditStudio and Adobe Premiere.
Wax supports any AVI video input format, and WAV audio format. As output format, you can choose between AVI, MPEG, WAV, Flash, and more.
In addition to the basic linear video editing above described, perhaps the best features included in Wax is that allows you to handle multiple tracks of audio and video: moreover, you also can apply some special graphic effects on each piece or video sequence. Transitions, 3D text, generating particles, explosions, 3D models are only some examples.
The installation program already have their own presets (more than 500), but Wax also can load and use VirtualDub filters, GreeFrame and DirectX plug-ins, and Windows Movie Maker presets.
Wax is freeware for business or personal use, and includes a comprehensive Help file.
If you work with video in a PC environment, you'll love Wax!
